Our Curriculum

We believe children learn through spiritual, cognitive, physical, mental social, emotional and developmental activities. Our A Beka, Bible ABC, and Hand Writing Without Tears curriculum provide a variety of ways of learning the Bible, phonics, letters, colors, shapes, math and science. Our Bible curriculum is the core curriculum and is interwoven throughout our daily activities. It teaches biblical concepts, prayer and character traits. Our interactive environments provide developmental opportunities for consistent spiritual growth in children. Our preschool is education based, while being thoughtful and keeping it structured in such a manner that the child is learning in a fun and age appropriate way.
Literacy

We encourage an enthusiasm for learning and a sense of accomplishment in mastering preparative skills for school. Through teacher led stories, your child will be encouraged to build skills in listening and language development and understand concepts related to size, shape, space, color, and distance, as well as build pre-reading skills.

Social Skills

We provide channels by which children are able to experience positive ways to develop socially through basic Christian concepts. Your child will learn the privileges and limits of group life. Your child will begin to develop a caring attitude toward others and will begin to develop self-discipline through gradually learning to make wise choices

Writing

We believe that the majority of a child’s learning foundation is established at a young age. We focus on this concept by providing an accepting, nonthreatening, learning environment that is developmentally age appropriate. Early writing skills focus on fine motor development through tracing, cutting, and proper pencil grasp.

Creative Art

We provide a hands on learning style environment that allows exploration and discovery through the use of the five senses. In exploring their creativity through art and science, your child will be given the opportunity to reason, discover, remember, experiment, and generalize using variety of materials to meet their sensory needs.

Bible

We believe that basic Christian principles are essential in providing children with a sound foundation for their future growth. Through special Christian curriculum, children are taught that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is their Lord and Savior, and that the Bible is the written Word of God and the way for their lives to be patterned.

Music

We provide an excellent Music class twice a month to enrich our program. Studies have shown that music stimulates parts of the brain that are related to reading, math, and emotional development. Our Northpark worship leader provides a fun and engaging lesson for our studetns.
